Tips on RPing with the new dice system
As a member of this forum, you have probably started to RP with dice or you soon will. The dice may be tricky to use, especially if you are a low ranking like a wanderer, Suzaku Grunt, or Yellow Ranked warrior. Don't give up hope though. You may have noticed that when you made attacks you were restricted to having a certain level of attacks that put a limit to the Attack Damage it could do. You may have also noticed that you have something known as a dice inventory that displays the total amount of dice for each category that you have. Finally, you'll see you HP bar which is a display of your Health Points. Altogether, this may seem confusing and even difficult to fight with, but once you put your mind up to the possibilities you'll see that it isn't so difficult. Below, I will give you tips whether you are a high ranking or low ranking to help you survive and use your skills and dice to the best use.
For those of you that may have a low ranking like Yellow to Blue or Grunt and Wanderer, you need to learn how to save your dice for certain situations and decide whether it is best to use a dice. You have a low amount, and when you run out you usually can't retrieve them. For one thing, only use dice like Evade dice and Defense Dice when you need to. If the opponent uses an attack that does almost no damage, your option might be to take the attack and lose points rather than roll the dice and risk wasting it and not getting the higher roll. Remember, at a low rank your main goal is to outlast your opponent because you can't necessarily overpower them and attack head on. Keep these things in mind when you RP.
Counterattacking dice may clench the match for you if timed right. If you counter a powerful attack, you may inflict massive damage to your opponent that you normally couldn't do with your own attacks. Remember this dice and how many you can use in battle.
As a tip to all of you, make sure you make good techniques! Your techniques are crucial to your survival. As a suggestion, I would make attacks with side effects that doesn't make your character too powerful but gives them somewhat of an edge. Learn to word your techniques so that they are powerful in more ways than just attack power and you should be able to move through the ranks quickly. Remember that you can recover HP with attacks (this may be different if you are a certain warrior type though) and you can recover the dice in your inventory but this all depends on your ranking and warrior type.
Keep Faith and Remember Have Fun When You RP.
