This thread will be for anyone who needs help RPing(Role-Playing). There is no need to sign-up and no commitment is required. You may also PM me for further details. To start, I will be making posts, talking about the basics of Role-Playing. I will also give examples on the best ways to Role-Play and what one needs to do. It may sound like a lot, but RPing is very simple and self-explanatory and it could even take less than a day to learn it as long as you do it a lot.

That's fine. I'll use Hatsugen and you can use whoever you want. We'll battle in another location though. Are all of your techniques and weapons approved?

Alright. I'll start from what RPing is and use some examples and then move down the list.

RPing, or Role-Playing, is a very simple way playing. Basically each player uses a specially made character or one that they made from another anime in order to perform a form of acting by which different people type the actions, reactions, etc. of their characters. The way I just said it might be kind of confusing, but allow me to demonstrate what I mean using Naruto characters [since you have a Jiraiya avatar and I'm more used to using Naruto characters since many people watch it].

*Remember, the basics of RPing (Role-Playing), is to type what your character does. This is usually done from a 3rd person's perspective since it is sometimes confusing from the 1st person perspective and difficult while most confusing from the 2nd person perspective*

Naruto: Naruto goes flying into the arena after running from a pack of bulls. In the arena are the other finalists of the Chuunin exams: Shikamaru Nara, Temari, Gaara, Kankuro, Shino Aburame, and Neji Hyuuga. Naruto stands up and notices everyone there except his teammate and lifetime rival Sasuke Uchiha. He looks around for the moment but asks no questions.

*See how it is. You type what your character says and does and how they react to the things around them. While doing this, be as descriptive as possible. Below here I'll give you a battling situation using made up characters*

Gyurasen: Gyurasen was nearby a small hut when he spotted a man coming out of it. He looked for a moment, trying to see the person's face until he noticed that it was exactly who he was looking for. He pulled out a sword and shield and went charging as quick as he could through the nearby grass as he made his way towards the person up ahead. Once he was close enough, he jumped up, his sword drawn and his body already lifting into the air. He was attempting to kill this man with a single hit. As he attacked, his shout could be heard by anyone in range. "You son of a..."

Watanfure: Watanfure heard a shout very close nearby, and without hesitation, pulled a sword out and blocked the other man's sword. Watanfure's reflexes were sharp as ever and the shout made by the other man made it all too easy to defend. He watched as the man was being guarded by his sword. "Who are you? You look familiar, but I don't think I really know you. Are you from the Yuesan District, or from somewhere else.?"

*This is basically how RPing is done. Simple right? I'll talk about battling though which is also simply done but must be done honestly. You see, when you RP you are not allowed to directly say that you hit your enemy and determine how much it does or determine what actions they are performing while you attack. That is for them to decide. You can only make a statement explaining how you are attacking and the power as well as other details included.*

Examples of Ways To Battle

Right Way: Watanfure pulled his sword down after blocking against the man and spun himself quickly to perform his attack. As he spun, his blade was enveloped in pure flames and he slashed at the man hoping to land a clear hit. He had asked him a question, but wasn't really expecting an answer since he already knew who the man was. It was Gyurasen, the son of a man who Watanfure killed many years ago. It appeared as though Gyurasen was seeking revenge. Although Watanfure didn't want to, he knew he would have to defeat Gyurasen and end these battles. His sword made its way towards Gyurasen and was aimed to pierce his stomach and damage him badly although in a way to not kill him but keep him from fighting ever again.

Wrong Way: Watanfure pulled his sword down after blocking against the man and spun
himself quickly to perform his attack. As he spun, his blade was
enveloped in pure flames and he slashed at the man, stabbing him directly in the stomach with full force. The flames spread across Gyurasen's body and started to burn him, but Watanfure did nothing except look the other way and depart, knowing once and for all that these battles were over.

*As you can see, the second way involved the person killing his opponent without the opponent getting any words in at all about what happens to him.*
