Homeland: Rein hails from a large city outside of the red forest, Akamori by the name of Velanos. This city is run by a sort of theocratic government, based around a council of elders called the Holy Twelve, who make all of the decisions with regard to laws and the actions that the city takes. In reality, the Twelve are part of a larger government, which is quite pompously referred to as the Deus Ex Humana, which means The God in the Man in the common tongue; the D.E.H has a large amount of control over a large amount of cities and countries all across the world, which includes the city of Velanos. The Twelve have their own special investiagor, law enforcer and special defense squad which is referred to as the Pax Militis, or the Guardians of Peace. Just a bit over a year ago, the organization known as Suzaku attacked Velanos in an attempt to take it over and use it as a base for an attack on Sentou Gakuin. The Pax Militis just barely managed to fight them back, saving the city from occupation. However, despite the victory, the aggressive action worried the Twelve, and they sent out several of the Pax Militis into the country to locate the source of the attack and investigate its cause.

Rein stands at a height of about 5'9" tall, and weighs in at about 148 lb, most of which is lean, powerful muscle. His build is lean and lithe, built for speed and agility on the battlefield. His features are all very distinctive, which is the reason that he is so easily recognized by the people of his city. His hair is a light, honey-like brown, and is quite short cut, stopping right about at the nape of his neck. While his hair is very straight in the back, it has a naturally messy, feathered sort of look on the sides and top, with several large bangs which fall on one side to cover his forehead, and on the other side to cover his eye. His eyes are somewhat narrow, though still matching his face, and are chocolate brown, and constantly seem to burn with an inner flame. As a member of Pax Militis, Rein wears the official uniform of the group, this being a long, regal white cloak which stops just below the waist. On the second fold of the cloak, there is a red stripe running down the outside on either side. On either side of the chest is emblazoned a crimson, gothic style cross. In addition, every member of Pax Militis has their own crest, which acts somewhat like a badge, identifying them as a member of the organization. Rein's, a large white crystal with the symbol of a crimson pheonix, its wings outstretched visible inside, is worn around his neck on a silver chain at all times. His kusarigama weapon is always worn, usually hidden, at his side. As a member of Pax Militis, Rein stands at all times with great posture, and looks the person he is speaking to straight in the eye, which sometimes gives him an air of arrogance.

Ranking: Yellow Ranked Warrior

Personality: Rein is quite different when dealing with people in public and in private. While in public, he is the model member of Pax Militis. At all times he is courteous and attempts to remain calm. He is always polite and direct in his speech with others, always remaining focused on his current goal. He is very strict in his dealings with others, not taking any discourtesy, disrespect, or general bull from anyone lightly, whether it is directed towards him or someone else. However, in private, Rein changes completely. His true personality is much more laid back than one would think, and when he is alone, or with others without a group of people around, he becomes much more open with his speech and actions, being more leniant about joking and discourteousness, although he still holds a bit of strictness with certain things. He is much less level headed about things, and becomes angry much faster, an is more quick to get into a fight. He enjoys doing things such as training, reading, hanging out with close friends, and eating tasty food. He dislikes fighting unnecessarily, mean people, and Suzaku in general.

History/Character's Background Story: Rein was originally born in the city of Velanos, but in a somewhat divided familial situation. His father was a devout follower of the D.E.H, almost completely convinced that every move that the Twelve made was just and righteous and not to be questioned. Although his mother had once been a follower, she had changed her view quite a bit. After seeing a lot of suffering and turmoil in the city, she realized the truth. The D.E.H was really a corrupt, rigid dictatorship who, in truth, cared nothing about its members. Rein's father however, would not be swayed, and so the family served the Twelve for many years, and, as Rein grew up, he had both ideals drummed into his skull. From a young age he developed a powerful urge to help people, and due to the high amount of crime in the city, he was forced to start at the youngest age that he could, five, to train in fighting, particularly in the use of a unique weapon called the kusarigama, so that he could protect himself and others. For the first 10 years of his life, Rein's life was reasonably peaceful, he trained as best he could and took all the lessons he could from his father, deciding that he would be devoted to the D.E.H as best he could from a young age. Each day he would go out on the roof and watch as the Pax Militis made their rounds around the city. For several years he viewed them as heroes, protectors who watched over the city and protected it with their lives. However, At the age of 10, his view on everything would change. On the very night of his tenth birthday, he, his mother and his father were home alone. Unknown to he and his father a few hours previous Rein's mother, along with a group of radicals had made an open statement against the D.E.H by overhwleming and beating a weaker member of the Pax Militis, almost to the point of death. When the Twelve discovered this, they made quick with thier decision. That very night the elite Pax Militis were sent into the city, to the homes of the radicals. The Pax Militis broke into the houses, and slayed the radicals and their families. Rein only survived because he was in the kitchen and hid in a cabinet, and so he was forced to watch his "heroes" murder his family. For the next two years he would continue his training, a hatred for the empire building in his mind. However, he realized one way that he could keep an eye on the government and fulfill his goal of helping people. He trained for another three years, and at the age of 15, Rein took the entrance exam for the organization. He had a natural affinity for combat, and he passed with flying colors, becoming the youngest member to date. For the next two years he worked for the D.E.H, keeping an eye on the government's movements and helping the city as best he could. At 17 he assisted in fightning back the Suzaku attack on the city, and a year later he was deployed out into the country to investigate, and six months later he came upon the acadamy of Sentou Gakuin, which he discovered was in direct opposition to the Suzaku organization. He promptly joined, with a duel purpose. First, obviously to obtain information from the students and teachers, and also to become stronger for the final conflict with Suzaku. He has remained there ever since, and will until Suzaku is defeated.
