Shane's Sword: Shi'en Ibuki (Breath of the Abyss)

Shane's Sword: Shi'en Ibuki (Breath of the Abyss)
Name: Shi\'en Ibuki (Breath of the Abyss)
Appearance:
There are a couple of details of the blade that are not expressed in the picture above. Instead of practicing "The Way of the Falling Leaf" by channeling chi through his body like his master did, he instead chooses to use his weapon as his outlet for his wind based techniques and skills. He does this through carving special symbols along the flat of his sword blade, which act as an incantation through which he can store and channel chi within the blade. They are dyed black, giving making them stand out on the blade more prominently they extend from about four inches above the blade to maybe two inches below the tip on both sides. In addition, a chain of polished steel, about seven or eight inches long extends down from the bottom of the hilt on the right side. The blade of the sword is about two feet and eight inches long, which is perfect for Shane's height and the shape of the blade. It is formed of well tempered steel and is balanced well with the hilt. This is not an average katana. It is instead a variation on the weapon invented by Shane's master, and is referred to as a Kenshi. It combines elements of eastern and western weapon crafts. Although a normal katana's blade is normally quite thin, about half a palm across, the kenshi's blade is about three-quarters of a palm length, giving it a bit more weight, while retaining the razor sharp cutting ability of the katana. In addition, the blade is just slightly more straight than a katana blade, in order to keep its weight equal. This does not detract from the cutting power, but rather gives it a bit more of a heavier hit, actually increasing its damage potential. The hilt is made of cured, bleached mahogany wood and is pure white. It is wrapped with white rayksin, the skin of a rare aquatic animal which is tough and does not shrink or expand with weather, and is covered with red designs. The blade base, which the actual blade of the sword protrudes from is made of brass, which has been shined and tempered for extra durability; on it is embossed Shane's family crest.
Effects:
1) Gale Impact: This is a passive ability which is constantly in effect while Shane is using this weapon. Merely holding Shi'en Ibuki causes it to react and constantly draw small amounts of the user's chi. In the blade the energy is amplified and imbued with wind energy by the sword's incantation and stored within the blade. When the blade makes contact or passes near its intended target, the stored energy is released in a localized blast of wind. This blast of wind means that the chances of the sword dealing damage of at least some kind, so it increases Shane's attack roll by one. In addition, being struck full on by the weapon will almost surely throw the opponent off-balance and make it harder for them to dodge the next turn. Therefore a direct* hit from Shi'en Ibuki lowers the enemy\'s evade roll by one for the next turn. In a normal (non-dice) rpg direct hits from Shi'en Ibuki will simply mean that the enemy is off balance the next turn.
2) Void Aura: This is an ability solely usable with Shi'en Ibuki which can be put into effect at any time through the words "crush and devour" or by using the ability's name. The runes on the blade of Shi'en Ibuki have a double purpose. Not only do they absorb chi from Shane and convert it into wind energy, but they can also act in an attacking fashion. The blade can create a temporary vaccuum lasting about three seconds, extending about two feet around the blade. It quickly pulls in all of the air within the radius, creating a quick but drastic change in barometric pressure. While this ability is not lethal, if it succeeds, then the enemy will be temporarily disoriented and off balance, lowering their evade roll by two for the next roll. In short, this ability, when successful, increases Shane's chance of striking the enemy with an attack or technique the next time he attacks. In a normal (non-dice rpg) the effects last for two turns, merely meaning that the other rper must factor dizziness and disorientation into his/her next two posts.
Attack Power: 57 (blast of wind deals 20 if only it hits, and adds 10 to the sword's attack power if the sword makes a direct hit)
Dice Usage: Attack
Benefits: N/A
Transformation(s): None
History: Shane began training in his master and father's style of sword fighting from a very young age. In his fifth year of life, his father meticulously carved the branch of an enormous tree growing nearby into a light training staff for the start of his training. After about five years of training, his father made him a proper training sword; carved, cured and shaped from another bough of the tree. This was Shane's weapon until the time that he turned 12. At the age of twelve, he began to question why he used a simple wooden sword, when a metal sword would be a more realistic teaching aid. His father, outraged by his impatience, told him that when he could last five minutes in a duel with him, that he would make him a sword with his own hands. Of course Shane wanted a sword, so he challenged his father right then, and lasted exactly twenty seconds. Shane trained harder than ever for the next two years so that he could earn his sword, and at last at the age of fourteen he fought his father again. He lasted exactly 4:59.8 seconds against his father, but was defeated. Although ashamed, he accepted his defeat and left the sparring room with his dignity. In the past he had exploded upon losing, cursing, throwing his sword to the ground and complaining at his misfortune. The next day he entered the training room to find his father holding Shi'en Ibuki, wrapped in red silk. His father presented it to him, with an explanation. "Control," he said, "is even more important for a true warrior than a real weapon." Later, when Shane decided that he would leave his land, he carved the symbols into his sword with a crystal he found lying in the burnt ruins of his village, and brought the crystal with him, a momento of his former home.
*By direct hit, I do not mean like I swing and you block. I mean like if I were to score a major hit on you, like a slash square to say the chest or maybe even legs

Re: Shane's Sword: Shi'en Ibuki (Breath of the Abyss)
Because its a weapon, you don't need to roll a dice to activate its effects. Simply having it equipped is all that you need unless the weapon has a specific attack that does damage or is really powerful to the point where a dice is necessary.

Re: Shane's Sword: Shi'en Ibuki (Breath of the Abyss)
For Dice Usage, you can just make that Attack and for Benefits, you can delete all of that.
Just a little hint: You don't need to pay Tsukara to attack with a weapon unless the weapons requires it.
