It's source of wealth was a mineral known as Sakuradite which could be used to make a superconductor. This light pink mineral was abundant in all the mountainous regions of Nippon and very valuable. It made Nippon prosperous and a target of the Tsubameshi empire. After Nippon was taken over, it became known as "Area 11" and was controlled by Tsubameshi through an appointed governor. Tsubameshians migrated over to this new colony and were given preference over "Elevens" and society became segregated. Elevens were forced to live in the ghettos and those who were given "Honorary Tsubameshian" status faced extreme prejudice.

Physical Description[Appearance]:

Ryoma is a light skinned man with medium length orange-red hair. He has an angular face and light blue eyes. He wears casual clothing most of the time unless he is on a mission. His usual outfit consists of a back wife-beater, black jeans, and a light black jacket. He also has various belts hooked around his waist and two necklaces that have white ornaments. He also wears two rings, one the symbol of a Suzaku Elite and the other was one of the two rings that he exchanged with his fiance as a symbol of their love. He also carries a sword on him at all times. This sword is a sword that is capable of controlling the element of fire and has a slight tint of red on its silvery blade. It has a hexagon-shaped crossguard and the handle is medium length and fits in his hand perfectly. The handle is silver in color.

Personality: Ryoma used to be a friendly and nice guy. After the Tsubameshian Invasion, he became full of anger and hate for the invaders. He led the rebellion against the empire but during this rebellion, his first true love died. As a result, he grew cold and heartless. After making a contract with a demon named Cecilia, he grew even more so and became more inclined to do evil. After the Tsubameshi Empire was defeated, his fellow rebels turned against him. They felt that he was too dangerous. In the end, he had lost everything, including his beloved country. He seeks vengeance for the injustice done to him. He is more of a victim of circumstance than an actually evil person.

History/Background Story: Ryoma was born in Nippon to two computer engineers whom had fell in love while collaborating on a project. Their names were Madarame Yuuki and Madarame Satsuki. He lived a happy life and was generally a happy, friendly kid. This all changed when he turned 14 when the Tsubameshi Empire declared war on Nippon. His parents were killed in the war due to their work in the creation of a Mecha model known as SuprSldr 001. This mecha was built to turn the tide of the battle to Nippon's favor. Unfortunately, it was never completed and the empire conquered Nippon. For this reason, he hated all of the Tsubameshians and distrusted them. He lived on his own and started a group of rebels which would soon become known as the Dark Knights. During this time, he would fall in love with a Half Tsubameshian girl named Mizuki. This caused him to falter on his mission to reclaim Nippon when the Tsubameshians realized that she was important to him and used her as bait to lure him in. They failed in their attempt to do so but at the same time, they killed Mizuki. Having failed to save his fiance, he went into a state of deep depression and emotional instability. After a time, he came back with a vengeance and became the leader of a new rebel group known as the USN (United States of Nippon) Troops. This time, he was much more successful with his plans because he made a contract with a demon named Cecilia and became a demon himself in exchange for her help. After finally attaining his goal of Nippon's independence, his former comrades turned against him. Some of them had learned of his contract with Cecilia and convinced the others that he had become too dangerous and was unfit to remain their leader. Having been abandoned by his beloved country, he had nothing left. He wandered for years until he met the organization known as Suzaku. Their goals were similar to his own and as a result, he joined them.

Ryoma walked into the town full of unsuspecting civilians. Little did they know that a demon was in their presence and one from Suzaku at that. He walked into the nearest boardhouse and asked, "May I please get a room to stay the night?" Despite Ryoma's calm demeanor, the innkeeper couldn't help but feel a chill when he approached. "Y-yes, you can", he stammered. Ryoma paid for his lodging and walked upstairs. This boardhouse was pretty decent, none of the paint had been scratched, all of the furniture had been polished thoroughly, and everything was clean. He opened his room's door, walked in and closed it. He surveyed his surroundings, this room was decent but dull. Everything was in shades of brown except for the bed which was a immaculate white. Everything was in a state that was considered "too clean to live in" by most. He laid down on the bed and was fast asleep moments later. But just because he fell asleep didn't mean he wasn't alert. His sword was gripped tightly in his hands and his ears perked. He had a dream that night, he dreamed of the past, his life with Mizuki and how happy it was. He was overcome with emotion and when he woke up, he had been sobbing. "Get a grip, it's been 20 years", he muttered to himself. After washing himself, he left the boardhouse and waited on the outskirts of town for his target to appear. His target was an ambassador whom Suzaku didn't want to meet the leader of the country for the conflict between the two countries was benefitial to the organization. His job was to retrieve his target so that some else from the organization could interrogate the man. He approached his target and said, "Would you be willing to accompany me on a 'walk'?" The ambassador made a move for his sword and said, "No, but thanks kind sir, I have urgent business to attend to." He had drew his sword for Ryoma was certainly a suspicious man and he suspected that Ryoma was an enemy. Ryoma replied, "I guess I'll have to use force, eh?" The man (whose name was Charles) replied, "Too bad for you that I am well versed in swordsmanship. "Oh ho, this should be entertaining, then", said Ryoma. The two men fought but it was obvious to see that Charles was being pressured for he was staying on the defensive. It was unfortunate for him that Ryoma was hiding his true strength, which was alchemy. With the skill that only someone with an IQ over 200 could manage, he threw a potion at precisely the spot that Charles would slash at and the solution exploded and his sword became drenched in it. His sword became brittle right before his eyes and his eyes widened. Ryoma chuckled at his reaction and with one swing, broke Charles' sword. The next swing hit Charles in the back of the head and he collapsed, unconscious. Ryoma said, "You were a worthy opponent and I would have liked to fight you for real for a while longer but the battle was taking too long and I had to use my alchemy. It is a shame, you were able to parry against all my strikes. It was too bad that we never got to see the outcome of our swordfight." He then slung Charles' unconscious body across his shoulder and walked back to Suzaku headquarters. 'Louis would be the one to decide this man's fate, not me', he thought.
