Dragon Birth

A blinding flash erupted in the middle of the cave, eluminating the surroundings. Kazangan and Denkou had to turn their heads to protect their sencitive eyes from the light. When the light finally faded, they turned to see who had come. Rorak was bending over a fire that he had just started, warming himself. He turned to the two dragons. "So, you found a place far away from the school and everything. Very nice location."

Kanzangan smiled, showing his sharp, meter long canines. It took alot of time and thought coming to this place, but we found it to be the best to raise a newly born dragon. Denkou nodded in agreement. I could find no place better to raise my new dragonling. Rorak walked between the two monserous dragons, to the nest that lay behind them. The nest, made of rocks and the surrounding cave walls, was about 6ft in diameter and 3ft high. Inside, one egg, roughly 20lbs, lay on its side. Denkou nodded to Kazangan, who then leaned over, and gently let out a steam of fire, which heated the rock to keep the egg incubated. "I am so proud of you two!!! I can't believe your having your first dragonling, Denkou!! Its so amazing!!!"

As Rorak watched the egg, it began to shake. Slowly at first, then more rapidly. "Kazangan, Denkou, it's happening!!" Denkou was over in a second, watching the egg rattle. Kazangan came more slowly, but still watched the egg with sparkling eyes. Within minutes, cracks began to appear on the egg. Suddenly, a light blue dragonling burst from the eggshell, looking around at its new surroundings. Kazangan and Denkou let out a mighty roar in unison that shook the entire cave. Denkou then leaned her head closely to her new dragonling and began licking it dry.

"Denkou, have you come up with a name for your dragonling?" Rorak asked quizically? Denkou snaked her head around towards Rorak. As a matter of fact I have. Buriza-do. This new little dragonling, when old enough, will be able to breath neither fire or lightning, but the cold. Rorak nodded. "A good name, Denkou. A good name." Rorak then walked to the mouth of the cave. "I will leave for now. Make sure Buriza-do is well taken care of. I know you will." With that, he Flash-Stepped away.
