Desert Journey

[Nejisuke]

Jacob is jolted awake and is flung up higher in the air by hot air currents(he had only been about 50ft off of the ground) and is then flung down into the sand by a mass of sand. He coughs and sputters then stands and brushes himself off. He checks his watch. In total it had been 3 hours since he left the forest. He had made good time. He relizes that he is standing at the edge of the desert, and looks over it. With regular sight, this would be breathtaking. It was imense, with the golden color almost glitering, it appearing to be a sea, with the shifting dunes the waves. To Jacob, all this looks like was a flat plane of vision, with shifting humps all over it, and large shifting walls, that were only shown not as walls, because of the billions of gravitational pulls he could see, because each grain of sand pulled on one another. This was going to be one heck of a journey, and he had to do it on foot. He takes his long black scarf out off his backback, wraps it around his neck and face, and starts the journey.

Within the sands of the desert are numerous creatures, both small and
large. A few Dune Hopper creatures are skipping along the sands. Some
hop towards Jacob and immediately flee at his sight. The winds in the
desert pick up a little and the sand blows heavily. A rumbling could be
heard from under the sand and immediately, a large claw about half the
size of Jacob shoots up and attempts to bash Jacob. The claw wasn't
very fast but looked like it would do some damage if it made contact. It's purple claw had many lumps on it that added to the damage.

Jacob had long ago in the journey turned off his sight through gravitational pulls, smell, and energy. All he was really seeing by now was sound, he asumed nothing was crazy enough to live in this desert. As several objects bound towards him, he turns on his energy sight, and realizes that they are creatures, as the scatter near him. It is only then that he realizes that what he had though to be a large rock below him, was a large beast. It was too late though, and as the hand shot out, it caught him by surprise, and he flew backwards on impact. It wasn't that easy to screw up his mindset though, and this beast was in his way. As he flew backwards in the air after being struck, he fires off two lightning bolts at the beast, then flip in the air and skids on his feet as he lands on the sand. He faces the monster, hopefuly his bolts would kill it and he could continue.

OOC: You forgot to subtract the damage from Jacob's HP. He has 2375 left.

IC: The creature began to emerge after it hit Jacob. The creature was revealed to be a Purple Sand Scorpion. It emerged in an attempt to attack Jacob with faster attacks but didn't notice the attacks headed towards it. The Purple Sand Scorpion is a creature with high offensive powers but low defensive capabilities. Its reaction time was not enough to defend or evade. Because of that, it was destroyed immediately. It fell to the ground and sunk into the sands after a moment or a two. The sands slowed down a bit and the winds began calmer. This would allow an easier progression into Nubu-Kassaa Desert.

Jacob smiles beneath his scarf at the success of his attacks. Now that this beast is dead, and the winds have calmed, Jacob gets an idea on how to get to the city faster. Jacob falls forward onto his face and gets into a sprinting position, he then does a single push forward full strength with his right leg. He alters the gravitational pull around him, and soars across the ground only about 6 inches above it. He is staying low to avoid the updrafts and is keeping a position easiest to break though the sand in the air. He would only have to touch down a couple times and hour to renew his flight.

Nearby was the little village where the bounty hunter was killing innocent people. All seemed quiet there but the truth was that it was false silence. Something was wrong but it was hard to tell what. Sitting outside was a man. He had a blanket covering the majority of his body and his face to probably protect him from the sands. He was simply sitting there, not doing anything. No one else was out of around except for him.

Jacob spies a little village near him, and darkness would fall soon and he would need a place to stay the night. Maybe some of the people here could help him. He changes his tragectory to head over there, and as he nears it all is quiet... Jacob knew that nowhere was it ever entirely quiet. Jacob lands and starts to walk towards it. He is on his guard due to the unaturaly silence. He turns on all of his forms of sight but the gravitational pull one, he wouldn't need that unless a battle was started. He spies an energy source, a man sitting on the edge of the place. He decides to speak to him. He lowers his scarf. "Hey!! Excuse me! Is there somewhere here i could stay the night? It will be dark soon."

[Jisenki]

The man looked up at him with a pale look on his face. He hiccuped a
bit before attempting to speak to Jacob in a slurred and slow voice.
"You coul always stay in me house right ther. It ain't much, but its
sometin."
The man hiccuped again and opened his door to the house. He remained
outside. "Who are ya anyway? Never really seen you around these parts.
Its gettin late too. Don't you know about the Hunter that comes around
this time?"

Jacob imidietly notices that the person is probably drunk. But, why should he care. He had a place to stay the night. At the person's questions, he was fine with answering. "No, i'm not from around here, or anywhere for that matter. I'm a wanderer, and i'm actualy hunting that person that you just mentioned, do happen to know where i can find him?" This was good, Jacob had met someone who knew about who he was sent to capture.

[Jisenki]

The man hiccupped loudly after hearing the wanderer's remarks and
questions. The man pointed at a pathway leading out of the small
village and into the sandy desert of Nubu-Kassaa. "See that pathway
over there? The hunter usually comes from that pathway right there and enters into the village. He comes every once in a while now. Probably because his targets are dwindlin down to a small few. We villagers don't really know why he turned on us. He used to be a good guy, you know, a helper of a few of the villagers that weren't skilled in fighting techniques." The man's headache began to wear off and he grabbed his head for a moment. "You see, being here in the center of the desert makes us prime targets for hungry monsters. He would often destroy the monsters, quite easily actually, and we would repay him by feeding him and giving him places to stay. I guess that us repaying him that way wasn't enough and that may be why he decided to start attacking us villagers. There may be other reasons though although I can't recall anything else that might have gone wrong." The man grabbed his head again and leaned down. His headache was apparently getting to him due to his recent drunken state.

Jacob listens closely to the information the person was giving him. He comes up with a plan. "Thank you for your help good sir, you have given me valuable information, that could aid me in the capture of this person who has been terrorizing you. I'll set up a stakeout by that path, and since you say he usualy comes around now, i shouldn't have to wait long if he is coming tonight." Jacob walks over to lay on the ground, a bit away from the pathway. He fakes being asleep, something he is good at and has had practice in. He would wait, he doesn't need to see them, he can't after all, he would sense their energy coming, and would distinguish wether the person had any fighting abilities from that.

Many hours passed and nothing happened. Both Jacob and the man remained outside of the house. The sands picked up a bit during the late night and the winds grew more fierce. The Bounty Hunter was nowhere to be found. More time passed, and the heat of the desert became more intense as the sun began to rise to start the new day. Many people stayed in their homes and the few children that attempted to go outside as the day passed where pulled back in immediately by their parents. Fear struck the hearts of many of the townspeople for some reason.

A new day is about to start, and the person never came.... was this journey useless? oh well, i might as well get in some sleep in this place, and take a more direct search later. Jacob stands up and stretches after laying down for hours. "I'll take you up on that offer for me to get some rest in your house sir." Jacob starts to pay attention to the people in this village, and realizes that they have been acting a bit wierd. oh well, it is probably only precautionary against this evil bounty hunter.

[Jisenki]

From high in the sky came a large lightning bolt that started in the shape of a sphere. It dropped down very fast and then became gigantic lightning bolt. Many people came out of their houses running since it was aimed for two houses. It destroyed the two houses and caused an explosion that caused the debris to fly over the town. A large wooden plank from the house landed on a child nearby. The parents were unable to lift it and the wooden plank seemed to be crushing the child. A man descended from the sky and landed on a building that wasn't destroyed.

"Where is it?! I'll keep coming back until I can find it!"


Many of the children and adults were fleeing the town. The old man that was drunk from before stayed and had a puppet. It was a wooden marionette that seemed common in appearance. He looked angry and looked ready to fight.

"Ein!! You won't destroy this town anymore today! I'm here to fight you and I have help this time." The man that was once drunk didn't notice the child nearby that was crying out in pain from being crushed under the wood.

[Nejisuke]

Jacob leaps backwards to avoid any debris as the two buildings explode. note to self, apponenet uses lightning techniques. Jacob spots the child with the board over him. He jumps over there and places his hands under the board, and flips it off of the child and help the child up. Now Jacob knew why he had been sent. He is currently tempted to bring him back dead instead of alive.... but he won't since it would prevent him from earning money. He at least knew his opponenet now, and he was going to start fairly strong. He unleashes two bolts of lightning from his palms at the enemy, then draws his blades off of his back.

The bounty hunter looked down at Jacob. A blue aura surrouded his body
and the lightning bolts immediately vanished once they hit it. This was
a special technique of the Bounty Hunter. This technique wasn't a
defensive technique but a special supplementary technique. The man
looked at Jacob. "So, you use lightning too huh? Not that you'll be
able to do much against me with just that element. My Reverse Lightning
Pulse technique sends out a small shockwave-like aura around my body
that is the opposite charge of an electric attack. Basically speaking,
any lightning attack that isn't my own will be nullified on contact
with it." The Bounty Hunter looked at the man with the marionette. "So,
this must be the help you were talking about. I told you though, I'll continue to come until I find it. One insignificant person can't change anything."

The man looked over at Jacob with his marionette. "Wanderer, will you help me defeat this man? Believe me, he's tough. He's capable of using a technique known as reckless charge. Its his signature technique that helps him against multiple opponents. I'll attack from a distance with my marionette. Maybe you can get in at a close range. By the way, my name is Daien."

"Sure, thank you for your help Daien. What exactly is this reckless charge technique you mentioned?" Crap, none of my lightning techniques are going to work on this freak. This is gonna be one heck of a fight. Jacob decides to go into his strongest form. He enters Snake Style at the cost of one special dice. Then he places his swords back in their sheaths on his back, then disapears from where he was standing. He reapears over his opponent, with his blades and himself suddenly weighing several tons. He falls quickly down over the opponent and at the last second takes out his blades from his back into a full force downward slice on the opponent.

[Jisenki]

The man stood there and took the attack effortlessly. It hurt him, but
he didn't show it. "So, I see you also know the Gravity element. That's
a high level element. I, myself, do not know that element but I do know
two more that should match it quite well. However, I won't use them
yet." The Bounty Hunter Ein pulled out a single long blade that was 6
feet in length. His energy became dense and visible. His hair began to
move in the direction his energy was traveling. "Now, Reckless Charge:
Assault." Ein attacked Jacob with his sword in a way that would prevent
it from being defended. He then immediately vanished and appeared next
to Daien and slashed twice.

Daien saw Ein approaching but being a Puppet user, he was only good at
attacking from distances. He tried to jump back in order to evade the
attack but the sands around messed up his footing and cause him to
slide a bit as he pushed off.

Attack against Daien

Jacob smiles a bit to himself as he hears the comment on the gravity element. It also gave him information on his opponent. This man is a lightning user, with two other elements, and he is a swordsman. This should be an interesting fight. As this attack comes from the man Jacob attempts to leap into the air sideways while using Koneshima, and would flaot and level high above his opponent, whether he was hit or not. He then uses Super Assult again, and goes to crash down upon the opponent again. This was a good move to use, and he didn't have many he could use since his lightning attacks would be useless.

OOC: Each slash attack does 300 damage and you didn't have enough to evade so damage was inflicted.

IC: Daien was wounded a bit from that slash. He was at a disavantage
because his opponent, Ein, was very fast and could easily get pass his
puppet and directly attack. Also, Daien was nervous as he hadn't had a
fight like this in a while. This fight made his adrenaline rush in an
unbalanced way that caused him to slip at the previous attack. He tried to use this quick opening to attack with his dancing Marionette Clash. If it worked, Ein would lose 150 points of damage. The attack would make his marionette spiral into him and cause damage because of the hardness of the puppet.


Meanwhile, Ein was enjoying himself. He was taking down Daien easily
and his opponent seemed to be falling in his footsteps. Ein decided
that he would unleash the assault on his opponent and give Daien a
break as he knew that he was old and assumed he wasn't much of a threat. "Same thing again? Well, no problem. I'll try and take you out fast and then I'll kill that old man and get what I came for." Ein used his Ultimate Reckless Charge and attacked Jacob with a powerful sword attack. Each of them would do 300 points of damage and with Ultimate Reckless Charge, there were three attacks. His speed using this attack was swift and almost unseen.

Jacob is surprised that his opponenet didn't even attempt to block, when Jacob recognized the signs of his opponenet about to be performing the technique that made him able to do a lot of attacks. oh, well this sucks. This guy is amazing fast, can take more hits than me, and the only aid i have, is one puppeteer. My chances aren't looking very good at this point. As the attacks start coming, Jacob attempts to block with his blades, but there were a lot, and he could probably only manage two if even that. He had an idea for later though, if only his attacker would let up for a second.

Ein looked at Jacob. He was fast, but speed came with a price although
that wasn't easily seen at this point he stopped for a moment and
coughed a bit. He then used a different technique for some reason. This
time, his focus was on Daien. He looked at Jacob before going to attack
Daien. "I shall show you despair...for now." His focus was switched to
Daien. "As for you Daien, I told you that I'm not leaving until I get
what I want." Ein grabbed his blade and pulled it back behind him with
his right hand. The blade flashed a bright silver color for just a
moment and he slashed towards Daien from the distance. From the blade
shot a physical slash of ice that moved quickly towards Daien. If it hit, it would do 200.

Daien saw the attacks coming at him and decided that he wanted a clear
shot. His puppet wasn't the best fighting tool in the current day and
age, but it had some tricks up its sleeve and Daien had some up his. He
used his wiring switch and shot a mass of wires at Ein. If they managed
to hit, they would decrease any of Ein's attack dice by a value of 2
and would allow Daien to use some of his more powerful techniques. As
the wires shot towards him, Ein lifted his puppet and shifted his
fingers. The puppet switched its appearance to what looked more like a
small car. It balanced perfectly on the wires that headed towards Ein.
Also, a blade covered with poison protruded from the front of the new
car-like puppet. "This is my Duarail Marionette Slasher technique.
Prepare to die Daien! I won't let you hurt anyone in this village
anymore." As the wires made its way towards Ein, the marionette
followed. If the attack hit, it would do 600 points of damage.
