Ran was walking the campus grounds with a few friends. They were all Yellow Ranked warriors unfortunately, but it didn't bother them too much. They had heard however, that a friend of Ran's had become a Blue ranked warrior. It was Sora. News spread through the school quickly, and it wasn't long before the school overheard of a warrior that had challenged the Head warrior to a battle to go up in rank. When news got out that Sora did really well against the Head warrior, many people were overjoyed. Ran was especially happy since she once fought against Sora. Unfortuanetly, she didn't do nearly as well against him as Sora probably did against the Head. She was on her own quest to search for him around the school. The others wanted to talk to him as well. The two others with Ran wanted to meet Sora after hearing the rumors and confirm them. To them, Sora was inspirational since he was a Yellow that was able to do well against a much higher ranked warrior and even rise in two ranks.

Sora was walking by the grass on the campus that was cemented. He was lost in his own world after getting a bad grade on a recent test. The test was all that he could think about and he wanted to get it off of his mind in whatever way possible. He noticed Ran and some friends that he didn't know nearby. He stopped, still frustrated about the test and then decided to walk towards them. He waved at them with a somewhat forced smile. Half of the smile was real because he found a friendly face. The other half was fake because he didn't want to appear too upset from the test.

Whistling to herself a happy tune, Riko was a short distance away from Sora, Ran, and the others nearby. She had also heard about the battle between the head warrior and Sora and if the rumors were true, Sora was indeed a Blue Ranked warrior now, which put him at the same level as her. Riko wasn't jealous, but she was a little. She was jealous about a Yellow Ranked warrior that had grown so powerful, so quickly, that he could actually hold his own against the head warrior himself and become a Blue Ranked warrior. She walked over towards him, not saying anything but instead listening. She wanted to know what really happened and see if the rumors were true. Then, if that was done, she wanted to test him and see how strong he really was.

The moment that Ran and the others saw Sora, they immediately ran over to him. In a barrage of questions, they all asked about the fight but with so many things being asked at once, it was impossible to tell what was being said. So many voices. Sora had become somewhat of a celebrity among the other yellow ranked warriors that heard of his success. They wanted to know what he did and if he had any secrets of some kind.

Sora was shocked. So many people had heard about what he had done so fast. It had only been about a week since he fought with the Head Warrior. Still, the attention was great and Sora was happy that people actually saw him as a great warrior. Sora always believed that he was a hero.

"Well, I think I did great against the Head Warrior. Me and him were going head to head. Toe to toe. Each time he released some more of his power, I showed him some of my hidden potential and took it up a notch. At one point I told the Head to fight me at full strength. Even then we were almost equally matched. Actually, the Head told me that I'm strong enough to be an Elite but more training would be necessary in order to have the experience of an Elite. So....you could say that I'm on the border of Elite and Blue."

Sora had huge smile on his face. He was proud of his accomplishments. He was proud to be a powerful warrior. Sora believed that some day he could fight against the Head Warrior again but with both warriors using their full power. He needed to train more, take any battle that came. His power would somehow go to his head unfortunately though. It usually did.

[Riko]

Her green eyes narrowed as she shot a dirty look at Sora. This boy. To Riko, this boy seemed too arrogant and full of himself. Perhaps he was powerful. Maybe he was even some kind of prodigy. That doesn't give him the excuse to show off and brag about his skills. Riko was partially making excuses for herself. Though she did believe that one shouldn't just brag about their abilities. What a show off. I can't stand people like that. He's probably just exaggerating, the liar. I bet the Head Warrior wiped the floor with him in seconds but gave him the rank of blue to take pity on him. That's probably what happened. The story continued to pour from Sora's mouth. Riko continued to get angry. While her left hand was occupied as it held Aiselne Drossel, her right hand twitched from each word that came from Sora's mouth. As time passed and his story, his attitude, and even the way he was standing there continued, she grew more anxious to fight this kid. The urge overwhelmed her. She was beginning to grind her teeth although it was slowly and in an unnoticeable way.

That was it. She couldn't take it any longer. The urge to fight was far too great for her to hold back. The rage from jealousy began to show to a point that even the dancing, happy girl Riko, could no longer hide it. She lifted the bladed ring, Aiselne Drossel and spun it using only her fingertips. The blade itself appeared heavy but Riko spun it as though it were weightless. The sound of the ring must have been loud because many people nearby looked over, taken by such a sudden reaction during a seemingly happy moment. People gasped at the look on Riko's face. It was obvious that she meant business and that she was ready for a battle. She called Sora out. Now she had something to prove. "Hey! Sora! You claim that you could keep up with the Head Warrior? How about going up against me? I think that since you're a Blue Ranked warrior now that has the potential to be an Elite, you should be willing to battle me without fear of losing right? So, I challenge you, Sora, to do battle with me, Riko Mashii. How about we throw in titles too to make things interesting. If you win, I'll admit that you could keep up with the Head Warrior and I'll call you the strongest Blue Ranked Warrior at the school. And if I win...well I want to be known as the strongest Blue Ranked warrior here. Is that a deal?" Riko looked ready. Her anxiety to start the battle was plain to see by the wind being whipped up from her spinning the blade at high velocities. Her tsukara was swelling up inside her and her blood was pumping. Somehow she felt like she would win. She knew that the battle would be rough though and that Sora wouldn't just be a pushover. It was fine for her. She liked it. Actually, Riko wouldn't have it any other way.

Ran couldn't believe it. Someone actually wanted to challenge Sora to a battle after he fought against the Head Warrior. Others stood around, shocked at the challenge of two blue ranked warriors for the title of the best blue ranked warrior. The wager was great. No one bothered to stop the two of them though. Honestly, the students wanted to see a good fight and see who would come out victorious between the two. The field became nearly silent except for slight whispers by random students. They were all curious to see what Sora had to say about the challenge. Would he accept or would he deny?

Sora gave an eager smile. He was prepared to battle this Blue Ranked Warrior, especially for the title of the strongest Blue Ranked warrior. He looked straight at Riko. She seemed pretty serious to Sora. It was fine for him though. Sora didn't like it when people underestimated him and his abilities. He turned sideways a little to assume his usual battle stance. The keyblade in its average form quickly appeared in his hand in a glowing light. He stood still, waiting for the moment to strike or defend.

"Fine, I'll accept your challenge. So, do you wanna go first? Ladies first, right?"

[Riko]

"With pleasure." Riko smiled as she leaped high into the air and performed a series of spins and flips that appeared dramatic, difficult, yet very beautiful to watch. So many movements in such a short amount time caused her to immediately sweat. That's exactly what she wants. For her final dance move, she places the ring down on the ground. A bead of sweat from her face touched the center. "I'll show you how a Blue Ranked warrior fights." The single drop of water caused an alchemical reaction with the ring that caused water to spurt from the center of Aiselne Drossel as though a large fountain was below it. If I plan on defeating Sora, I can't hesitate and I can't be too careful. I don't know how his attacks work but I don't think that he'll be able to handle too many powerful attacks coming at him so quickly. If I keep him on his guard I can slowly defeat him. He won't know what hit him. She performed a flip that elegantly made her land in the now increasing yet still small body of water. She spun quickly and dipped Aiselne within the filling water, allowing water to fill the long and narrow grooves within the bladed ring. Her momentum faded. She faced Sora and swung her ring a few times, imitating the force and flicking of a whip. The water itself still appeared like a liquid but with the increased speed due to the alchemy and the previous momentum, the water would be strong enough to physically slice through thing. More specifically, the water would be able to cut through chunks of Sora's skin. The water flew quickly at Sora. She grinned, believing that Sora wouldn't be able to dodge any attack moving that fast.

Sora watched patiently for the water flying at him. He knew that if he timed it right, he could deflect the water and block it completely and then rush in for the attack. A few seconds after Riko's attack, Sora placed the keyblade up. Ready to defend, he moved his body to block the incoming water attacks. He failed as the water sliced through some of his body. The attack didn't cut him deep but it did manage to wound him pretty badly.

"You're pretty fancy but its obvious that you're no slacker. I'm not either."

Sora's Keyblade transformed into its Spellbinder form. A magical presence surrounded the weapon. His spellcaster type techniques would become a little more powerful. He rushed at Riko until he gained enough speed. His keyblade pulled him further along, spinning him around Riko. When the timing was right, he would hit her from a blind spot with the keyblade and then bash her in the head with the Keyblade.

Riko watched carefully. Unfortunately, he was much harder to hit than she had imagined. Even his movements before attacking were difficult to watch properly without losing focus. Not good. He's much faster than I thought. I had hoped that he wouldn't be this skilled. Maybe I got myself into something I can't get out of. Riko shook her head a bit, shifting her eyes quickly to try and maintain the view of Sora zipping around her. No. I can't give up. I know I can beat this child. There's no way that he's stronger than me. Sora closed in on her but her reflexes weren't quick enough to react well to his attack. His sword bashed her across the face. A large cut opened and blood seeped out. First it was slow but then it became faster. She touched her forehead and looked on her hand as blood came down. Nearby student spectators gasped at the attack. Some seemed like they wanted to cheer but they did their best to hold in the excitement. It was at this moment that Riko realized that she was now officially losing. Her attack's damage to Sora was nothing compared to what he just did to her. "I won't let you win. I'll prove that I'm the strongest blue ranked warrior." Riko spun swiftly in circles. Water began to overlap the center of Aiselne Drossel. Her spinning ceased and she looked Sora straight in the eyes. She then flailed her ring around, causing many shards of ice to fly at Sora. In her mind, Riko hoped that the barrage of shards would critically wound Sora.

Sora ran to the side as the shards were trailing behind him, slicing up the grass around him as they missed. He knew it would be difficult but he had a feeling that he could dodge each attack. In his mind, he was feeling great. He had enough confidence in his abilities to believe that he would be victorious in the battle. He knew that he would soon have the title of strongest Blue Ranked warrior. He tried to roll out of the way of the shards as they came closer. The barrage seemed dangerous. It didn't take much to know that they would hurt a lot and do some serious damage. He tried anyway.

[Riko]

Riko was a little annoyed. It was obvious that she was no longer her usual happy self in this fight. Her attacks seemed to be making no effect whatsoever on Sora. When she attacked, he defended or dodged. When he attacked, the attacks were difficult to get away from. In the back of her mind she had a feeling that she was going to lose but she didn't want to believe it. She would fight this out until the very end, using whatever she could to land a blow. Riko spun again as she did before. She was going to use the same attack as before. Her movements were becoming rather sloppy though and even her simple spins made her seem a little off-balance and distracted. People nearby had their mouths open at the fight. It seemed like every moment the battle continued, at least 2 or more people showed up to watch the fight. I won't. I won't lose to him. I'm better. Why am I so obssessed with winning though? Why does winning mean more to me now? I know. Its because of his smug attitude. He thought he could take on the head warrior and brag about it. He's not skilled enough. That privilege belongs to me. I've been training hard for that. I deserve it. She grunted with her attacks, pouring more emotion into it than before. She didn't have doubts anymore. She believed that she could hit him.

Sora took the attacks and stood there. The attacks pierced him but he didn't go down. Instead, he reached for the shards and pulled them out one by one. His keyblade vanished. On his face was a smile that would suggest he wanted to fight more but the withdrawal of his weapon proved otherwise. He walked closer Riko with his hand out.

"I call a truce. Perhaps we would do better as allies than enemies and I think this battle is becoming too personal. If I've offended you in anyway then....well....."

Sora hesitated. It wasn't really in Sora's nature to apologize. He was stubborn that way. He managed to force the words out.

"...well, I apologize. Friends?"

He offered his hands to surrender the battle and call a truce. He could only hope that Riko would accept his truce.

[Riko]

Riko was highly cautious. She didn't know if this was some kind of trap or if it was a sincere truce. Riko stared at Sora for a moment as he kept his hand extended to her. He seemed like he was being honest but she wasn't too sure. She put her weapon down and took a chance. She glanced around her. Everyone nearby that had been watching the fight up until this point looked with curiosity and suspense. It appeared as though they wanted to know what would happen but they couldn't foresee an outcome. A clank ringed in the air as Riko pushed her weapon aside. She grabbed Sora's hand and shook it, accepting his offer of a truce. "Fine. Truce it is then." Others around them moaned and groaned as their showed their disappointment in the fight. Riko waved at some of the others as they walked off with unsatisfied looks on their faces. She looked at Sora. "So I guess we can say we're friends right? Just know that if we had finished this fight I would be the holder of the strongest blue ranked warrior title." She smiled at him in almost a provoking manner. She walked away and grabbed Aiselne Drossel. She was off to go to the cafeteria to get some food after this battle. "She you some other time."
