I've been thinking about the way that the forum has been going lately and although members aren't constantly on everyday, I think that the recent progress of the forum has been decent so I wanted to ask this question: first of all, should I start a tournament? Secondly, if so, should it be a team tournament, 4 player battle royale, creature tournament, or an average 1 v. 1 tournament? Give opinions.

I think a tournament would be good. I'd say that 1 on 1 would be best but it doesn't matter too much in my opinion.

Well, seeing as no one is really on this forum very often, I don't think the team battles or battle royales would work because they would take way too long. I am new to RPG forums and have been trying to be on everyday for at least a couple of minutes but there is almost always no activity for about 2 days to a week on any given topic. Having more than 2 people in a battle would be even more time consuming.
As for creature battles, I am one of the few with creatures and most of the other creatures besides my Neko belong to Jisenki. I doubt very many people will go out of their way to create a creature just for one little competition.
That is why I believe that a tournament of 1-on-1 battles is the best choice. I also think that there should be a time limit to how long should a person wait until the other person finally posts back. I know I am not always on time either but I at least try and it pisses me off when I updated like days ago but no one replies. I am sure that I am not the only one with these sentiments. Even on this topic, no one has really replied to. Now that I think about it, do we really want to have a tournament. What is the guarantee that a tournament will increase member activity? There is none .......

Well I am done with my rant, sorry if I wasted anyone's time. I was just slightly annoyed at myself and others for never updating on time. Of course, maybe my definition of on time is slightly different than others so whatever.

I totally agree with you Shang. I don't think the forum's ready for a tournament yet. I haven't been logging on too much either, but I virtually have little to do at this point. Suzaku's population is 1, not enough people are coming on to continue and further any forum plot, and when people do make posts, people tend to not reply for some strange reason.

As I've said time and time again, we won't get new members until we get committed members that can come on more often. If you have been coming on as much as you say, then we need more members like you. On other forums I've been on, having people on often made others want to come on. When 2 or 3 people are on per day and no one is online while you are on, it makes you not feel like replying or not in the mood to be creative and write something.

Other than that, I can't think of much else that can get people back on.
