I don't think I ever even made a character on this site....sorry 'bout that, anyway, here ya go guys, have at it.

Homeland: Zandiel, or Zane as he likes to be called is originally from a land which is known as Bellum, which, translated into the common tongue, means warfare. It is a world that is divided by the perils of war and constant battling. The majority of this land's surface is scorched earth; the remnants of a once beautiful place that is now so war torn that it resembles a mere shell of its former self. What is not burnt to ash is plains consisting of golden brown tall grass and large trees with huge canopies called Mushroom-Trees. The country is divided into two countries. Arkan, the country which occupies the far west, is a nation which mostly makes its living on manufacturing and machine made goods. Spero, the country to the far east is a nation which relies on farming and cultivation of land. Despite Spero's seemingly peaceful appearance, some of the greatest of warriors have come from this country, which is why it has survived so long in this war. The two races which occupy this land are humans, and aegyls. Aegyls are creatures which are much stronger than humans, possessing a heightened magical attunement, and increased natural speed and agility, as well as enhanced and telescopic vision. They resemble humans, with two exceptions: their eyes are deep purple, and they have bird-like wings, which extend from their shoulder blades. Unfortunately, Aegyls generally only live about 40 to 50 years; a much shorter lifespan than humans, who can live into their hundreds.

Appearance: Zane is about 5'9" inches tall, which is about normal height for humans his age in Bellum. He weighs about 152 pounds, which makes him very fit for his height. Because of his "unique upbringing, most of this weight is muscle, and so provides no sort of hinderance in combat. Zane's skin is pale, almost sickly in appearance. He uses this as an advantage in combat, surprising the opponent with a great amount of physical strength and agility despite his frail frame. Due to the fact that Zane is half human, he does not look the same as all other Aegyls. His eyes, instead of the vibrant violet of an Aegyl, are a deep, intelligent emerald green, and seem to burn with an inner flame of inner determination. His hair is long, reaching down to his waist, and is a dark, blood-like crimson. At his forehead it splits into two large bangs which fall to cover the sides of his head. In the middle there is a long lock which falls down the center of his forehead, stopping at the tip of his nose. He also wears a pair of spectacles black spectacles. These are present for two reasons. First, he wants to blend in with humans. Due to their telescopic vision, Aegyl pupils look different from human ones. They are a single black dot with four lines going out from it, one from each diagonal of the center dot. These glasses have a spell placed on them so that from the outside, it is impossible to see his unique pupils. The second reason is because he thinks the glasses look cool and give him a distinguished appearance. He wears a long black gunner jacket with silver buckles over a dark blue, "logo-less" t-shirt. Around his neck hangs a silver chain, a gift from his human mother. He also wears a pair of charcoal gray, long cargo style pants, along with a black leather belt with a silver buckle. On his feet he wears a pair of black and white high top sneakers with white laces. His gun holster hangs inside of the jacket where it is easily reachable but not easily seen. His nose, hands and feet are all average size and match his body perfectly.

Personality: Zane has a very quiet, timid personality. He is usually the last person to speak out, or voice an opinion about something important, or to speak his mind or seek companionship with others. He has his mind focused only on becoming stronger and blending in with the people around him. Any other goal that he puts his mind to, he also pursues with great perserverence and strength. He enjoys training, reading, eating ramen and fighting, due to that ideal being pounded into his skull nearly from birth. He dislikes spending too much time around others, doing nothing, and doing pointless things. Since a very young age, Zane has been a naturally skilled marksman. The fact that he is grants him not only proficiency with the gun, but certain other abilities, such as naturally increased reaction time. This also makes him excellent to use as a scout or recon expert. Rein is also very quick thinking, making him useful in tight situations when a plan of action. Because he is also very skilled in the use of his masamune, Zane is also useful in close combat situations, and so is a generally well rounded fighter. Since Zane fights using guns primarily in battle, his style is mostly long range, but since he also uses a masamune, he mixes in a bit of up close combat style. His style focuses on usually using his guns to wear a strong opponent's defences down from long range, Then get in close with the masamune while they are distracted and finish them off. Against weaker enemies he alternates between gun and sword to deal devistation to his enemies. While he is a good leader, because of his Human side, he has a lot of comapassion for others and takes a keen interest in the wellfare of the few friends that he makes. Because of this, he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep them safe, even if this means that he must put himself and others in serious danger to do so. Because of this, he often puts himself and others at great risk in order to help others.

History/Character's Background Story: Zane was born in a camp of sorts in Arkan, run by a group of humans, bent on creating superior soldiers to use in combat during wars. They had captured many aegyls, thinking their proficiency in magic, speed, vision, and their ability to fly very useful assets for soldiers. They also had many of the other races present in all the world, particulary humans, since, surprisingly, they possessed great strength and will. His parents, an aegyl male and a human female were placed in the camp together. Eventually, despite the harsh conditions, fell in love, and a time after, Zane was born, producing one of the first Aegyl/Human hybrids. This new breed obtained several useful "side effects" from both of his sides. First, he would also live longer; about the same lifespan as a human, or 90 to 100 years. His aegyl side allowed him to retain the ability of flight, and also increased his resistance and ability to use and detect magic. From a very young age, it was seen that he had an affinity for gunfighting, able to hit targets from quite a ways off even at a younger age. He was allowed to stay with his mother for the first 10 years of his life, and then was taken from her and his very sick father, to be put to intense training. For eight years he endured this, advancing much faster than most of the other trainees. However, he came to realize that he was a freak, and would never truly be accepted by either of the races to which he was inseperabley joined. So, at the age of 18, he overpowered the guards of the facility and escaped. He flew, and flew and flew until his wings gave out and he crashed landed in a forest outside of the academy known as Sentou Gakuin. After making his way into the academy, he disguised himself as a human and became a student, and has been living their ever since.
