How do I actually roll the dice?
- Spoiler:
- When making your character's techniques and abilities, pay close attention to the "Technique Usage" line and the "Benefits" line as they help specify which dice you will be using. You'll notice that Technique Usage asks if the technique/ability is counterattacking, special, or escape. you'll also notice that the Benefits ask if it is supplementary, offensive, or defensive. When making your moves, you might not need to fill out the "Technique Usage" line but instead just the "Benefits" line or vice-versa. This is because most attacks can only be escape, defensive (defend), offensive (attack), special, or counterattack when using the dice. Make sure you specify in the technique creation whether your technique is one of the following. Whichever you choose will determine the dice you'll use for the technique. If the technique has side effects, then in your description of the ability, you should add the side-effects and how they correspond to what dice you'll use.
What happens when my character's HP reaches 0?
- Spoiler:
- This forum is a bit more realistic than other forums so unfortunately, your character will die when their HP reaches 0, but in some situations, a player may have a move for their character which will allow them to revive themself once in battle. A move like this is allowed as long as it fits the character.
-An example of something like this is the Second Wind ability on Kingdom Hearts. That ability allowed Sora, Donald, and Goofy to revive themselves immediately and completely restore their HP when they were defeated, but only once in battle.
Which Dice would I use for weapons and creatures?
- Spoiler:
- Generally, there is no dice for creatures and weapons specifically, but if your monster has a specific type of move such as an attack or defense, you would use the dice based on the monster's technique.
Are there any hidden dice?
- Spoiler:
- Currently, there are no hidden dice, but in the future there may be special dice that have hidden abilities or some kind of special effects.
After I'm approved, where do I start?
- Spoiler:
- Once your character is approved, you can choose different tasks depending on what your character is. If you are a wanderer, then your character can roam in the world outside of Sentou Gakuin and go on their own adventures. Wanderers can be in the school campus, but they cannot attend classes. If you are a Suzaku warrior, then you will live out your life as an evil villain for the world's most evil organization and follow the command of the Suzaku leader while participating in your own character's life. If you chose to be a Sentou Gakuin student, then you will attend the school and become stronger as you travel through the ranks to become the ultimate warrior.
How many dice can I use per turn?
- Spoiler:
- Every turn, a character is allowed to use up to 2 die. If a dice was not used in the previous turn, you still are not able to go over two die. Two die is the maximum amount of die that you are allowed to use. As time progresses however, you might learn abilities that could increase this. Because only two die can be used a turn, every player must choose their moves more carefully.
Am I allowed to use 2 of the same dice each turn?
- Spoiler:
- Yes, you are allowed to use 2 of the exact same dice each turn, which in some cases may be necessary if you are attacking with a character and a creature during the same turn. Be careful though, as you will deplete your die from your total die amounts quicker since you may be using double the amount each turn. You don't have to continue using two of the exact same die each turn though. You could just use two dice of the same kind once a battle.
I ran out of dice before my opponent! What do I do now?
- Spoiler:
- Usually, when you run out of dice before your opponent you lose the match or battle that you are in. Some ways to avoid this problem, is to make an ability that allows you to restore the amount of dice that you have for a certain category. Preferably, you would want to make an ability that allows you to restore escape, counter, or defense dice. Escape die might allow you the chance to escape from the battle to live another day, counter die might allow you to turn the battle around and possibly flee, and a defense dice might allow you to defend your character until both characters run out of dice. In that case, the match is a draw but because of the dice value differences among each rank, you may not want to rely on this.
Are escape dice necessary in a training battle or set up battle?
- Spoiler:
- No. Escape dice are used more for encounters with someone. In order to be more realistic and RP correctly, your character might have to be forced to battle in unwanted situations. This would be a good time that the escape dice is used if you want to escape the battle. Know that your opponent may allow you to leave if he/she chooses though and vice-versa.
Are there any other situations that can occur if a player's HP reaches 0?
- Spoiler:
- Actually, there are. In some circumstances, depending on the battle, a player's character might not die when they reach 0 HP, but instead they might be captured, imprisoned, be knocked unconscious and left there, or during tournaments, just lose the battle. The outcome of your character depends mostly on how you opponent finishes the RP.
Is it possible for my dice amounts to increase without going up in rankings?
- Spoiler:
- It is possible for your character's dice amounts to increase without going up in ranks. Usually, a character's dice amounts can increase by them continuously visiting the forum, participating in tournaments and missions, and training with their teachers and learning new techniques. Virtually, a yellow ranked warrior could have as many dice in their inventory as an Elite or a teacher.
How do I actually roll the dice?
- Spoiler:
- In order to roll the dice, you will have to wait until a second post is made. On the topic view page it will come up as 1 reply or more. Once this is done, you can begin to RP by rolling the dice. In order to select the option, you will have to select "post reply" instead of typing in the quick reply box. You can still see the previous message so don't worry. Once you get there, you'll see this icon:
You must click the icon in order to roll the dice. Once you press the icon, you will see the list of dice that you can select. You must then select the dice you want to use and the code for it will come up:- Code:
[roll="Evade Dice"==1]1[/roll]
[roll="Evade Dice"]1[/roll]
The amount on the dice is randomized so hope for the best! Remember the icons used for each die too. Below is a list of them all:
Attack [roll="Attack Dice"]1[/roll]
Evade [roll="Evade Dice"]1[/roll]
Escape [roll="Escape Dice"]1[/roll]
CounterAttack [roll="Counter Dice"]1[/roll]
Defend [roll="Defense Dice"]1[/roll]
Special Ability [roll="Special Attack Dice"]1[/roll]
