Rules of The Baseball Diamond
These are just a few rules of the baseball diamond to follow. To keep things fair, all RPing rules still apply here including the amount of lines you need to post. In the future, a specific section for sports techniques will be put up where you can create your own techniques and abilities specifically for sports but until then you may make special techniques in the Custom Techniques and Abilities Section. For the sports locations, your skills are only as good as anyone's in real life unless you have created techniques. This means no super speed, super strength, etc. unless you've made the technique for that and have gotten it approved. Also, in any Sports RP, you don't use dice but you use regular RPing which involves writing what your character does. This means that we have to be fair in what we do and write. Since this is for fun, the rules of the game will only be but so basic and some rules may be tweaked or omitted from the forum that are in the real game. These are the general rules of the game on this forum:
- There are 4 bases with the fourth being home base
- Each team must have at least 7 players and must all be out on the field when defensive
- A Ball is when the baseball does not enter the strikezone(the center) and the batter does not hit it.
- 4 balls allows the batter to advance one base
- A foul ball is a ball that is hit outside of the perimeter of the baseball diamond before hitting the ground. Foul Balls count as strikes until the third pitch in which the person must either hit it or strikeout
- An Inning is the portion of the game in which the teams alternate on offense and defense and in which there are 3 outs for each team
- An Out is achieved if a batter strikes three time or a catched catches the ball directly after it is hit. 3 outs and the teams alternate between offense and defense
- Each time a player reaches home the teams score is increased by one
