I adore Deadpool! His breaking of the 4th wall is always the best. All comic books would be greatly improved by the deadpool factor!

Re: X-Men Poll
I know nothing about Deadpool so I can't comment, but I think that Rogue, Wolverine, (a little Toad now), and Angel are actually really useful.
Rogue, from some of the more recent series, can just copy your powers and become a potential Apocalypse if she could keep all of the powers. Wolverine=no death. He lives extremely long, his bones are like steel, he regenerates everything in almost no time, he's fast, and apparently has beyond average super strength (I've learned that he can lift a few tons for a short amount of time due to his unbreakable bones). Toad is actually not bad after some research. Apparently, Toad can poison you and take control of anyone that he poisons for long periods of time. Also, he can take control and understand advanced (including alien) technology.
I used to think Angel could only fly. I was wrong. He can also cut things with his wings (which can become as hard as steel and cut through steel). He can also fire projectile weapons and do a lot more things that I can't think of at the moment.

Technically, Wolverine can be killed. If you remove his head, before he reaches his strongest state, he does die. (Somewhat surprised no one agrees on Phoenix (She is stronger than X) ).

Still, that's if you get close enough to Wolverine to remove his head, and that means that everyone can just have their head removed. Its too easy for most of the mutants (and half juggernaut I guess).

Re: X-Men Poll
Okay, Wolverine took a nuke to the face and regenerated all the soft tissue in his body. He literally is immortal.
Secondly, Psylocke is possibly the most versatile of the X-Men. She is a psychic and can use both telekinesis and psychokinesis as well as create psychic knives which cause both bodily and mental damage to her opponents. She also has the best backstory of all the X-Men, in my opinion.
And as for Forge... He can make any technology that he thinks of. It doesn't matter what it does, he can make it. It's pretty awesome.

I agree with Hei completely except with the background story of Psylocke. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying her story isn't good, I just don't know it.
I like Forge although some claim that he's useless.

You can't have occasional immortality. You can have occasional invinceability or invulnerability, but you can't turn off immortality on a whim.
Pheonix is cool, but i dislike omnipotent characters... i find them dull and kinda souless...
Hehe... though apart form deadpool I am not fond of many X-Men... I'm a DC Fangirl

Re: X-Men Poll
Ooh, DC. I'll get back with you in a moment then.
As for Wolverine, he's a complete and utter Badass. Not only is he a boss with his claws, regeneration, 99.9% unbreakable bones, strength, [the list goes on], but due to his slow aging, he was a samurai, knows nearly every martial art, and speaks about 6 or 7 languages fluently. Basically put, if Bruce Lee were still alive and wolverine were real, he would easily wreck Bruce Lee. Anyone who knows me should know how bad I feel about admitting that, but you have to say that its true.
Another interesting X-Men is Shadow Cat. She's a ninja, martial artist (because Wolverine taught her which makes her badass by extension) and can phase through walls and solid matter for as long as she can hold her breath. Besides that she can disrupt and nullify electrical fields that her phased body or body part passes through.
Think of it like this: If she swipes any part of her body through your brain while being phased at any point, whether she's attacking or defending, you die. Even Wolverine can't defend against that.
As for DC. I love the heroes except for Green Lantern and Superman and Flash a little. Batman is probably the best superhero of all time in my opinion and my top villain is Joker. Venom is in second place. That changed with my increased interest of Batman, Spiderman 3, Dark Knight (which is a clever play on words), and a few documentaries I watched on the psychology behind Batman, Joker, and various other villains in the batman series.

Jisenki, I agree with everything you said about Kitty Pryde... and while it is true that Wolvie couldn't defend against her phase shifting abilities, he wouldn't die from it. See above- NUKE TO THE FACE. If he could die, that's what would have done it.

Re: X-Men Poll
That nuke to the face (after being checked) is only in one of the most extreme visualizations of Wolverine (also not a nuke, it was napalm with a sonic grenade). It also only happened in one comic, the vast majority show him with skill (healing, not martial arts) ≤ Deadpool's. Though I was wrong earlier in the immortality thing, thank you for pointing out that fact Sara.

Re: X-Men Poll
If ever you need someone to go over the top and pedantic about the finer points in life, i'm the one to see.
Wolverine relies on his regeneration and advantages too much, i like characters who think more and he never really struck me as that.
Batman is the greatest hero ever and in my Opinion the joker is the best villain. The two are dependant on one another, in a weird way and ahve a relationship based on what seems to be a profound respect.
I never used to like superman. At the start he was too weedy and pathetic, in the goldne age he was too strong and he's basically stayed the same since then. I didn't like him because of how they just added powers on to him whenever his current ones didn't cut it. But when i found ouit the reason behind his creation... it chnaged my opinion of him and so now I like him.
His bromance with batman is so lovely too!

Re: X-Men Poll
3 Best X-men
Phoenix, she was insanely powerful and her psychic powers could do just about anything.
Xavier, he was like the brain. He was the smart one who was fighting for a good cause. His psychic powers were awesome.
Wolverine, he was the type who would just jump into things. He didn't think too much and was really reckless but that part of him kind of made me like him more.
3 Worst X-men
Rogue, I never understood the point of her powers. I mean, nullification of other mutant's powers through touch? I know she could absorb powers too but I just wasn't too into that.
Pyro, I don't know much about him but the movies made him seem like a total D!*k, lol.
Toad, leaping higher? He's good for laughs, lol, but I think that's it.
As for DC, I hated Superman so I agree with you, Sara. They just gave him too many powers but in the end, he was also the easiest to defeat. I mean, just get some kryptonite.
I love Batman because he was like the suffering hero. He was also intelligent and he didn't have any powers. Well, in a way, wealth was his power but that was it. He had to use brains, guts, and all that.
Dagomis, I love Flash too but I don't really think he's the best ever. I mean...all he had was speed, which a lot of others had. Superman is actually just as fast as Flash or at least in the old comics he was.
I'd say my favorites from DC were the Green Lantern and the Green Arrow. Green Lantern was awesome because of his ability to do anything as long as he had the willpower and concentration. Especially in that one arc where they got rid of the weakness against yellow. Green Arrow was another suffering hero so to speak. In recent arcs, he died and came back to life. He has multiple problems and he has explaining to do. He was also one who used his brains because all he really had was athleticism and his arrows. He doesn't have the wealth anymore so he can't use the Arrow Car or the Arrow Plane. Not to mention, his arrows were always cool. He always had some kind of novelty arrow that would end up being the finisher.

For the Wolverine and SHadow cat thing: she can shut off his brain signals. I don't think wolverine can defend against that even if he can regenerate. You don't need to mess around with his external state at all, which makes his powers useless.
Batman is the greatest and I can't think of anyone besides Batman villains that would give him a good challenge.

Artemishiu, I understand where you're coming from but I must throw in that Flash is not just all speed (in a way). He also has the ability to increase the speed of each and every one of his molecules (to extreme levels) in order to walk through solid objects, travel through time, turn him invisible, and knock out Superman (and those of his level) with one punch. His speed seems to give him some of the same powers as Wolverine (somewhat to a lesser degree maybe).
But, I still understand, the surface Flash is a wimp.
