Who would win in a fight?
Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
Alright, here's the question and a small clip to help you think.
Who do you think would win in a first-to-forfeit fight? Jackie Chan or Jet li? Give reasons why when you vote.

Re: Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
Me personally, I think that Jackie Chan would win in a fight against Jet Li. Though I'll admit that I've been a bigger Jackie Chan fan than Jet Li, I still think that Jackie Chan probably has more skill with his Kung-fu than Jet Li has with his Wushu/Kung-Fu. Jet Li can do cool and amazing things, but contradictory to what most people think, that doesn't mean that the moves are always the most useful things to use in a fight.
As you can see in this little movie clip, Jackie Chan uses Drunken Boxing and Tiger style (mostly Drunk. Boxing), and Jet Li uses what appears to be Wushu and Animal Praying Mantis styles (correct me if I'm wrong on the Wushu part though).

Re: Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
I say Jet Li. I think that Jet Li would be better because he has accuracy and precision that I don't think Jackie Chan quite has. This is just me personally. I've never thoroughly examined either of their fighting styles so there are some things that I wouldn't think about since I'm not a martial artist nor do I really study it.

I'm going to go ahead and say Jet Li because I don't know martial arts and couldn't begin to compare, but I know that people always speak better about Jet Li over Jackie Chan.

People only speak better about Jet Li... because he is more serious. jackie Chan is more... comedy.
I dunno... prolly jet Li... Jackie Chan seems more choreographed.

Re: Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
I stick by my unbiased (maybe biased) opinion on Jackie Chan.
To me, I think had he not done comedy people would have a better opinion on him, but for one thing, I think that anyone who has worked with Bruce Lee and trained with him will be powerful. One thing that I have seen is that JC has some quick reflexes. Check him out in some of his older more classic videos (not Rush Hour or any of the more recent things where he doesn't really use specific kung fu styles or skills but just pure kick and punch [which isn't bad in any way, but the ones where he uses actual animal styles kind of like Jet Li in I think it was called Forbidden Kingdom.

Re: Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
I sort of agree with you in that sense, I mean even on things like rush hour when you look at the blooper reel you can see how fast he reflexes are because of what happens when things go wrong.
But I'm affraid Jet Li just seems like he could best him in a bout, I dunno if it is a discipline thing or just that i AM bias tpwards the more serious Jet Li, but I'd still say that Jet li wins hands down!

Re: Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
Jackie Chan. He is more versatile in his acting and seems to able to adapt his martial art to different situation, whereas Jet Li seems to focus on the brutalizing of opponents in open spaces.

No reasons though huh? Seems like you can't back up your choice. Do you know why? Its because Jackie Chan is better than Jet Li.

Re: Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
Lol. This has been blown out of proportion! XD I prefer Jackie Chan, if I am perfectly honest, I think he is tres funny. But I think he would lose to jet li in a fight... think Archangel (i like your name) is so in awe of Jet Li... all reasonable and Logical thought has left him... he can only utter the name!

Nice one. To be honest. I don't know much about Martial Arts to judge. Jet Li just seems to have better moves.

Re: Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
They both have some really flashy moves but I doubt they are really all that good. I believe that it would be a stalemate if they were the same age and had the same physique. But as of present, Jet Li is younger and most likely more able to carry out a strenuous fight.

Re: Jackie Chan or Jet Li?
Age never is factor in a fight. I've seen 75 year olds that could beat the crap out of in shape children.
When you say "I doubt they are really all that good", do you mean the moves or Jackie and Jet Li?
Besides, Jackie trains a lot and I think he is in better shape.

I agree, they are both in excellent shape and age has nothing to do with it... age means experience...but i think that Jet Li has more experience despite this.

Don't be, it doesn't really matter who is stronger. Besides, what's the point? Believe in what you want to believe in.
