Creature Classification
I've decided that I'll talk a bit about the creatures of the Sentou Gakuin world so that others can familiarize themselves with them and get a better vision of them. Besides that, it can help when you create your character, techniques, equipment, and most importantly, your creature(s).
To start, creatures live nearly anywhere and are as numerous and interesting as many of the animals in the real world. Every creature has some type of living area [like land, water, air] and that's basically determined by what element a creature may, or may not, have. Like animals in the real world, creatures in the Sentou Gakuin world have their own general skills and intelligence levels. Generally, a creatures' intelligence would determine the skills they can utilize as well as how they behave and react to things. This is all categorized into a class system of creatures that show what usual skills and abilities the creatures in that class have. The class also helps determine the total power of each creature in that class.
[Below is each class]
Class 1-This is the lowest of all classes and is also referred to as the Shou Class. Generally, those in this class are creatures that have just hatched from eggs. Most of them don't move to much and don't have any of their own abilities. A creature in this class may have an element [and usually does] but they may be unable to use it or any skills that it may possess. Many of the creatures in this class aren't very intimidating unless they are creatures that are born and remain the same for their lives. Creatures like that might have claws or fangs but none are large than 3 feet. Their forms of communication are usually screeches or cries.
**Example:
Class 2-The second lowest that is a much needed step up from the Shou class for warriors. This class is known only as Class 2 and has creatures that have taken a step up from the Shou Class and are able to use their element although their mastery of it hasn't been developed. Generally, they can only do things like hunt for smaller creatures in the Shou Class or fight against creatures in Class 2 or Shou Class. Every so often, A Class 2 creature may be able to take on a weak Class 3 creature but this rarely occurs since most Class 2 creatures aren't too big although they generally do travel in groups. More developed teeth and claws have formed as well as a basic attack like a flame breath for fire element creatures or a burst of water for water creatures. Their general forms of communication are growls, howls, or symbols made with their elements. The creatures in this class range from 2-4 feet.
**Example:
Class 3- This is the middle of the creature classes and usually as high as some get. The majority of creatures are in this Class and they are all more commonly seen which means they are more easily caught. Monsters like this are much stronger and have grown enough to utilize their elements in ways to defend and attack. The creatures vary as some creatures travel in packs while other move alone. Some creatures also are capable of talking although most still use growling, roaring, howling and the previous forms of communication. One thing about creatures here are that some have even been intelligent enough to master weapons like swords or shields. The majority of these creatures walk on all legs and hands while a few have learned to abandon the old ways of moving and travel on two feet. The creatures in this class range from 3-6 feet while they aren't on two feet [unless all creatures of their type can walk on two feet]. If on two, many are almost up to 8 feet.
**Example:
Class 4-The second strongest of all creature Classes. These creatures are usually very intelligent although they may be able to walk on all their feet or simply two. Some of the creatures are more humanoid and can utilize their element to the fullest. They are more preferred by warriors as many appear like humans and some even wear clothing. The creatures in this Class range from about 5 feet to as large as 25 feet. Armor, clothing, weapons, and maybe even some other tools may be possessed by creatures of this class since they have a high intelligence. These creatures are extremely rare but are worth it because of their power are skill.
**Example:
Class 5- Class 5, more commonly referred to as the Faina Class, are the strongest of each Class and can overwhelm even humans in skill and strength. They have absolute control over their element(s) and powers and have enough intelligence to outsmart humans. Most creatures from this Class are huge while some are small. These creatures can range from the size of 9 to hundreds of feet tall--taller than buildings. All of the creatures of this Class must be called by a technique, ritual, oath, or even some contract because a simple capusle couldn't contain their power. Many creatures of this Class aren't too obedient and require something for their help. Creatures of large size might not, usually, have clothing, but they most likely have armor and weapons they have formed. No specific form is granted for these creatures (like how humanoid they look). Caution must be taken with these creatures.
