Homeland: Hatsugen comes from a hidden land that up until recently was undiscovered. The land that Hatsugen comes from is known as Xenszly(zenz-lie). This land was once home to many of the Sunosuke clan until Kisuke attacked
and destroyed all of them except for his own family. The land of
Xenszly is an industrial land that has many automatic buildings and
mordernized technology. Even with the buildings and mordernized
industry, there is still some forests and areas that flourish in plant
life and wild life. Also living here are demons that attacks the humans,
and the humans themselves. Other than Kisuke secretly assassinating
every member of his clan except his family, this is a peaceful land. After the attempt of murdering his family, Hatsugen and his family moved to another region known only Heshei. There they stayed out of the sight of Kisuke until Hatsugen decided that he must leave them in order to capture Kisuke himself.

Appearance:

Hatsugen looks surprisingly young for his age and looks as though he could be in his twenties. The reason for this is because he is a demon, which do not age as fast as humans. He is very tall, standing at about 6 feet and 8 inches. Like his son Kisuke and the other males of the Sunosuke clan, he also has black markings underneath his eyes and red hair. His markings are much thinner than Kisuke's due to his higher age. Unlike Kisuke, he wears white and occasionally something black but never too often or too much. His clothing is usually a white thin coat with no exterior markings, and white pants that are usually perfectly fitting. Although he is the father of Kisuke, he seems as though he could possibly be his brother because of the way he dresses and his personality. He wears white shoes that complement his overall appearance.

Personality:
Kisuke's father Hatsugen surprisingly has the personality that you would expect from someone younger despite his age. He moves calmly and speaks as such also. Hatsugen usually is very observant and chooses to fight when he decides that it is a battle worth fighting. One thing that would be expected for his age is the fact that he is always giving different proverbs for different situations or telling others about his life when he was younger. The difference between him saying it and someone else at his age is that he keeps people interested usually and doesn't go on for too long. His voice itself isn't like that of an old man but more of a man in his thirties or fourties. Not very persistent either, him and Kisuke both have the habit of knowing when to quit and wait until another day to initiate a plan.

History/Character's Background Story:

Hatsugen was born into a clan known as the Sunosuke clan. In this land,
the Sunosuke clan were protectors of the citizens that lived nearby and
around them. Like Hatsugen, the entirety of the Sunosuke clan were
demons, which made many people fearful of their power and skill. They wondered
if the Sunosuke clan would ever turn on them and if so, they wondered how would they fare. Fortunately, this question was never answered as the
Sunosuke clan were always loyal to the humans that lived nearby. The
Sunosuke clan protected the citizens nearby from lesser demons that
attempted to hurt the humans for food or for other needs. Hatsugen, like
the rest of the Sunosuke clan, carried long and gigantic scythes for
combat. These scythes had special powers that could only be used in
combination with pure Sunosuke blood.

His history is a long one, shrouded in mystery from his childhood past. Not many things are actually known about his background as in where he came from or who his relatives are. Up until the Sunosuke known as Kisuke, also his son, began fighting demons, the name Hatsugen was an unknown name. During his son's 8th year, he fought against a demon. Kisuke always believed himself to be strong and Hatsugen saw this. During the encounter with the Hidden Desire Demons, Kisuke was attacked by a demon that was at the top of this demon breed's class. The demon easily over powered him and caused him to be knocked back into the scythe of an ally from his clan, killing him in the process through a stab wound to the heart. The demon saw that Kisuke was unprepared for its power and attempted to kill Kisuke too, but in a flash of lightning Hatsugen stepped in with his special powers and vanquished the demon in one blast. Hatsugen saw Kisuke as Kisuke looked at him and immediately passed out. Hatsugen decided to rush Kisuke to a hospital in the village in which Kisuke was treated. Hatsugen and his wife decided to leave the room in order to learn the skills of the demons they defeated. They learned that the demons, once they made contact would knock a person unconscious within moments. The person would then see hallucinations that ultimately cause them to desire power. Kisuke was wounded by the demon, which Hatsugen failed to witness. That contact of the demon and Hatsugen not seeing that would be the start of terrible events to come.

Then came the massacre. Nine years passed since that incident, and as those years passed Hatsugen began to see a difference in the personality and energies of Kisuke. He realized that his son gave off an evil sensation, or at least one that was not yet unlocked. He realized this, yet he denied it and continued to let Kisuke be. At the age of seventeen, Kisuke went missing for awhile which went unnoticed to many. Two days after his birthday, Kisuke started an event known as the Sunosuke Massacre and killed nearly the entire Sunosuke clan. In total, 500 members of this clan existed. At the end of the Massacre, only 5 remained. Somehow, Hatsugen managed to anticipate this and he, along with his wife, youngest son, and middle daughter, managed to flee using one of his techniques. They hid in a region known as Heshei, which was a small region that contained a camp for refugees and wanderers alike. They hid until Hatsugen made the decision to search for Kisuke and change him. He wanted to bring Kisuke back home and forgive him and allow him to live with the family. It took him many years, but Hatsugen learned of an academy that would allow him to meet strong warriors. He knew that Kisuke's lust of power would cause him to be drawn to this school in one way or another.

Hatsugen searched. He finally learned of where the school was located and even learned a bit about where his son Kisuke may be. It's been a few months sice he joined the school and was given the position of Master/Trainer where he also teaches others about his mistakes in hopes that they won't do what his son Kisuke did.

I can't believe I let him do that. I started to see it when he was still a child but I failed to do anything about it. I denied all that he was doing an continued to let him lust for power. I should have stopped him. If I did, he'd still be here with us, as a family.

Hatsugen pulled out his scythe, which was an expertly crafted scythe. It looked beautiful to say the least and it shined brightly with its yellow aura emitting from it. It was partially windy and dusk approached the once purple colored sky. Hatsugen had items on hand. He was going to set out and find his son. He was going to find Kisuke. He didn't know how long it would take him, and he hoped that he would accomplish this set task. Hatsugen set out, leaving a simple note to his remaining family of 3 which included his wife, son, and daughter. The letter wrote:

Farewell family...at least...for now. You know where I'm going but you don't know when I shall return nor do I. I just hope that it isn't too late to undo and reverse this that has been inflicted on our oldest Sunosuke son. His lust for power is great but I don't think that it would be impossible to get him back to his normal ways. It will just take time. I wish you well as I venture out to search for our family member Kisuke who has been consumed by the darkness and the evil desires that, for many years, have spiraled in his heart.
